We strongly believe in sharing knowledge - in fact, in our experience, the more you share, the more you learn.

So, in 2009 we set up an Wedding Planning Internship Programme. We have two Interns working with us at any one time.

All of our interns have attended attended our "The Life of a Wedding Planner" Workshop. 

Due to the high volume of applications (we get about 25 applications a week!), we set up the course as a great way for you to get to know us and we get to know you. 


Attending the Workshop is the best way to get on the short list for the Internship.   

 

Our next Internship cycle will begin at the end of April 2019. 

Anyone who has attended our "Life of a Wedding Planner" Workshop will be eligible for the Internship.


 As you can see by the Gallery above, Internships involve a lot of hands on experience - you may be part of the team at a real wedding, 

be in a photo shoot, attend wedding industry events or even, for a lucky few, travel to Italy for a destination wedding! 


They also involve a lot of desk work and research for our clients - so you will see all parts of life as a wedding planner.

Internship Programme

Wedding Planning Internships (or work experience) are offered to up to two candidates at a time and last 4 months.  Shorter placements of around two weeks are also available from time to time, but there is no set schedule for these placements. 


Places are limited and fill up very fast. There is no cost involved to the candidate, however, our Internships are unpaid.  We will cover your London travel to and from our office and provide lunch each day you are with us.


The best way to get on the short list for the Internship is to attend our Life of Wedding Planner Workshop.

Intern Reviews

It's very important to us that we make our Internships fun, interesting and most of all we want our Interns to learn the reality of being a wedding planner.


At the end of your Internship, you will receive a Reference and a Certificate. We will also provide assistance with your CV; which will hopefully help you get a head start in finding a full time job in event planning. 


Some of our Interns have gone on to have wonderful careers in the Wedding Industry or other parts of the event world and we are so proud of their success.

The Life of a Wedding Planner Workshop

Would you like to attend our Workshop? It's for anyone thinking about becoming a wedding planner, whether you are studying at the moment or just thinking about a career change!


Dominique has been running this course since 2012 and has trained hundreds of aspiring wedding planners.

Who is it for?
The Workshop is for anyone thinking about becoming a wedding planner or wants to work in the events industry. You do not have to be studying wedding planning already.  We've had people from 16 to 70 attend the course, from all walks of life and different stages of their career.


What will I learn?
You will learn the "reality" of life as a wedding planner. As well as practical hints and templates from real events, Dominique will share anecdotes from the hundreds of weddings and events she has organised over the past 30 years.  


Subjects covered include: 

  • What does a wedding planner actually do for her clients
  • Marketing your wedding planning business
  • The essential skills for being a wedding planner
  • How to put together wedding budgets
  • Styling weddings for the modern bride
  • Finding the perfect venue    
  • How to get a job in the events industry
      

How much does it cost?  £99.00 - which includes a workbook with templates of real-life events, a certificate for “Introduction to Wedding Planning”, sandwich lunch and refreshments. 


How many people will attend?
A maximum of 7 delegates will attend each workshop, so you will get individual attention.
